A family legacy in automotive
The Jenner name has been synonymous with automotive excellence for generations — from Olds, Alberta to the heart of Victoria, BC.
While March 23, 2026, marks the 45th Anniversary of Jenner Chevrolet Buick GMC in Victoria, the Jenner family name in the automotive retail business goes back a lot further than that.
Fred T. Jenner opened 20th Century Motors, his first Dealership in 1938 in Olds, Alberta. After a pause for World War 2 (the Dealership remained operating) he moved to Red Deer, purchased an existing Dealership, and opened Red Deer Motors in 1948. Seeking a bigger opportunity Fred and family moved to Edmonton in 1951, taking over the Andrews McLaughlin Dealership and opened the first “Jenner” franchise, Jenner Pontiac Buick GMC.
After 19 remarkable years in Edmonton, highlighted by growth, facility expansion and renovation, Fred retired in 1970 and sold the Dealership.
Fred’s son Jack Jenner, who had been working with General Motors since 1967, finally saw his opportunity to become a retail Dealer and purchased the Millstream Chevrolet Oldsmobile Dealership in Victoria in 1981.
45 Years of Evolution
During the past 45 years
a lot has changed!
We had the Oldsmobile name as well as GEO. Then gained Buick and GMC. And now we’ve added fully electric SUV’s and Pick UP Trucks.
In 2010 we endured a major facility renovation, adding an expanded showroom, an enclosed Service Drive Lane and a new customer service lounge.

Loyalty & the Jenner family
One of our strengths, has been our staff and their loyalty to the Jenner Family.
There are currently many Staff members that have been with us 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 plus years! That’s Loyalty! And that’s what the Jenner name represents.
We’ve seen changes in our name, our building, and our staff; and over those 45 years, we’ve seen A LOT of changes with the vehicles we sell. The age of electrification is upon us, and we are rapidly changing again to keep up with that demand.
Through all those changes though, the Jenner Family and Staff are growing up in this community. Your community. And we wouldn’t be here without your support.
