Why is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt still the most relevant?

Electric vehicles are becoming more common on the market, which is great news for anyone looking for a model that will allow them to get away from their dependence on oil.


The Chevrolet Bolt 2022 is on that list, of course. Better yet, it offers advantages that others don't, which still makes it the most logical, attractive, and interesting choice in its class.


So here's why it's still the most relevant.


Its price


Electric models, by and large, all come in at the same price, close to $45,000. As you'd expect, that's the limit to qualify for the federal government rebate.


The new Bolt ignores this, as it comes in at $38,198 in base trim. Yes, if you choose a Bolt, you're putting almost $7,000 in your pocket before you even start the purchase process.


That's enough to take it for a test drive, isn't it?


Charging


When you buy an electric car, you have to think about the charging infrastructure. The most economical way to do this, in the long run, is to have your charging capability at home. There are two options. Purchase and install a Level 2 charging station. Here, Chevrolet will help you by paying the installation fee. Good start.


But you can wait, too, because soon the model will be offered with the dual-capacity cable that comes with the utility version of the model, the Bolt EUV. Basically, this cable allows you to plug into a 120V outlet, but also 240V. If you have access to this type of outlet (or have it installed), you no longer need to pay for a Level 2 charging station.


This is unique to the Bolt.


Range and driving


The Bolt offers a total range of 417 kilometers. That's among the best in the class, and certainly at the model's asking price.


What's even more extraordinary is that the Bolt's regeneration system is so effective that on certain tracks, it's possible to do a lot of regeneration, which can push the range to 450 km and beyond.


And when it comes to comfort and driving pleasure, this second-generation car is a step up from the first. People say that electric cars are not fun to drive. That's sometimes true, but not in the case of the 2022 Bolt EV.
