2025 Silverado EV: Breaking Range Records with New Trims and Features

Chevrolet transforms the electric truck landscape with the 2025 Silverado EV, introducing groundbreaking range capabilities and a broader lineup catering to commercial and personal use. This latest iteration brings significant improvements across every trim level, firmly establishing new standards in the rapidly evolving electric truck market.

Record-Breaking Electric Range Performance

Leading the charge in the electric truck segment, the 2025 Silverado EV achieves an extraordinary 792-kilometre range with its Max Range configuration. This milestone addresses the primary concern of range anxiety that many potential electric vehicle buyers face. The Extended Range versions maintain impressive capabilities, with distances varying by trim level to match different user needs. Public charging anxiety dissolves with 300 kW DC fast-charging capability, enabling quick power replenishment during work breaks or travel stops.

Expanded Work Truck Options

The Work Truck lineup evolves with three distinct configurations, creating new entry points for commercial customers. The Standard Range variant starts at $63,999, making electric truck capabilities more attainable for businesses. Moving up to the Extended Range at $75,999 provides 679 kilometres of operation, while the Max Range edition delivers the full 792-kilometre capability at $82,199. Each version maintains core work capabilities, allowing fleet managers to optimize their investment based on specific route requirements and operational demands.

The All-New LT: Middle Ground Excellence

Chevrolet introduces the LT trim as a perfectly balanced option in the Silverado EV range. This new addition combines workplace capability with premium comfort, featuring 645 horsepower and 765 lb-ft of torque through the Wide Open Watts mode. The LT's standard features include 18-inch aluminum wheels and an advanced cockpit with a 17.7-inch infotainment display. For enhanced versatility, the available Premium Package adds the innovative Multi-Flex Midgate system, creating nearly 11 feet of cargo space when combined with the Multi-Flex Tailgate. With 657 kilometres of range, the LT trim hits the sweet spot for buyers seeking both capability and comfort.

Premium RST Enhancements

The RST trim elevates the Silverado EV experience with two distinct battery configurations, now reaching up to 740 kilometres of range in its Max Range form. This premium trim showcases exclusive features like the hands-free Super Cruise system, which operates across 1.2 million kilometres of mapped roads throughout North America. The exterior distinguishes itself with exclusive colour options, including Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic, while maintaining the practical capability expected from a Silverado.

Production of the 2025 Silverado EV takes place at the modernized Factory ZERO Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center, representing a $2.2-billion investment in electric vehicle manufacturing. Deliveries commence later this year, bringing this expanded range of electric trucks to Canadian customers who seek various combinations of capability, technology, and luxury in their zero-emission vehicles.
